My
name is Ray Pycroft my affix is (
Pykra ) we
live in Newark, Nottinghamshire and I fell in love with our
beautiful breed ever since I saw them at Pat and John Sharps home, who
unfortunately are no longer with us
Thanks
to John and Pat who bred under the Karazoe affix, and who I brought
our first 3 beautiful dogs from, they were Ch.
Karazoe Snow Marten. (Ikar). Ch. Karazoe Snow Mystery At Pykra.(
Mist). and Ch. Karazoe Snow Comanche at Pykra. (Chay). and
they successfully talked me into trying the showing game which
I now thoroughly enjoy.
Thanks
to John and Pat they gave me the foundation to build on my breeding
and the start of my kennels, they taught me from the basics of
whelping, caring for puppies and right through to the Breed Standard
and what showing entailed, from grooming and the presentation of
the dogs.
Since
getting our first Samoyed and started showing in 1988 Pykra Samoyeds
have gone on to successfully breed 5 generations.
Pykra
have set a high standard in the ring, with the standard of our dogs,
and also with our cleanliness and presentation of our dogs.
I
started judging in 1990 and mainly concentrated on the Samoyed breed
and after years of judging at open show level I graduated in 2001 to
judging at Championship Shows, starting with the Scottish Kennel
Club, Leeds, and the Ladies Kennel Association and in 2006 Driffield
Championship Show.
