BUYING A PUPPY. When you start thinking about buying a puppy always think hard, do I want a large, medium, or a small dog, do I really want a dog that will be around for 10 to 15 years or more because this is the life span of a Samoyed . These are some of the things that you should consider before you make your mind up. Most important of all is the garden dog proof, better still is it Samoyed proof ( they have been known to clear 6 foot high walls ) this not only to keep your dogs in but also to keep others out. Sammie puppies look like little white seals very nice, very cuddly, very cute, people just do not realise these lovable cute little puppies grow up just like children and like children they need to learn the rules of the home they live in, you do not want a dog running through the home at top speed, you are the ones that must do the training.. You do need to spend time with them taking them for walks and training them. They are very highly trainable, they need grooming as a regular feature or their coat gets matted.Puppies have very sharp teeth and they like to use them, normally on the furniture shoes slippers or anything that takes their fancy. This is a breed that gets bored very quickly, will there be someone there to play with it during the day, remember how you train the puppy is how the ADULT version will be.
